There was no storm last night after all! All those glowering clouds and muttering trees were just so much ado about nothing. Today is slightly cooler - the pumpkins on the vine no longer look out of season, as it feels like fall is coming. I suspect this year when Charles's birthday rolls around, we won't be wearing shorts.
The rest of the week looks sunny and more of the same slightly cooler temperatures. I'm not complaining now - my ability to regulate heat has disappeared in the last couple of years - but I will be in the spring, I'm sure.
