overextended

So here we are, a couple of weeks into the school year, and I'm a bit overwhelmed. Room parenting, volunteering, the amount of time needed to spend schmoozing with the other moms - it all requires a lot of energy and being "on". Frankly, it's not my natural state and it gets quite tiring. Leading to the inevitable moment (not here yet, but I feel it coming) when I stop in my tracks and wonder what the heck I was thinking getting into all of this.
