the day I have been dreading

has arrived. My 7-year-old first-grader has come home with a math assignment I can't help him with. Granted, the 7-year-old first-grader appears to be a genius with numbers, and he did ask his teacher for more challenging homework ... but if his assignments are already stumping me in first grade, what the heck will I do when he's in middle school?
