I'm feeling quite random today, so you're going to get the bubbles rising to the top of my fizzy brain today.
1. I really enjoy the commentary on the Sex and the City DVDs. It adds so much depth to my enjoyment of the series, and it's really marvelous to hear what enthusiasm and dedication to excellence was brought to the creation of the episodes.
2. The fall of the Oscars is sad to me. I find them (along with the Emmys, Grammys, Golden Globes, etc.) really quite out of touch and predictable. (Maybe they always were ... but I remember them being a much, MUCH bigger deal when I was a child - and we didn't even go to the movies that often.)
3. The idea of a garden is starting to tickle the back of my mind - trying to decide on flowers, herbs, vegetables, or some mixture, and where they'll all go. (Also considering what to do with them - I always feel terrible at the end of the season when my herbs just die on the plant.)
4. I'm committing to restarting my diet and exercise program on Sunday. I think I'll make some cookies.
5. Now that I have my office finished and the furniture in place, I feel like I need a better organizational system - both for time and for material.
6. I'm also thinking about pictures - what to do with them, how to display them, which ones to choose.
7. I miss having a good local best friend - somebody to call up and chat with 'just 'cause' - and wish I could also find someone you could call up and say "hey, want to go to Target together?". I know it takes time to get there, but it's discouraging.
8. I wish my 6-year-old wasn't already having to go through similar issues to #7.
9. I'm feeling the need to sort and purge through ... well, pretty much everything. It's a combo of spring distantly approaching and finally being able to unpack. I feel all new-leafy.
10. Why, why, why do small boys have to talk butt, pee, weiner, and burp all the time?
