Since it's my anniversary, I feel the need for a marriage list. :)
1. No dating. Well, duh. Who'd want to be out there again if they didn't have to?
2. He gets (most of) my jokes. Shared experiences of almost 13 years combine with the similarity of interests (and of course, the kids!) to mean that we find a lot of the same things funny. Priceless.
3. Having someone else around who appreciates my kids as much as I do. It's not that different from #2, really, but still ... parenthood shared is much more enjoyable!
4. The constant comfort of knowing your best friend is with you, supporting and encouraging and also criticizing, all the time.
5. After 11 years, I'm still married to the only person I actually want to see every day.
