My desk is a disaster

So is my office.
The kitchen's not bad, but only because my father-in-law has been cleaning it for me every day. The refrigerator, on the other hand, has some overstuffing issues.
The living room is filled with piles of ... things.
My bedroom overflows with luggage in the midst of the unpacking process and unfolded sheets.

And in two days, members of my family will be coming to visit me for the first time in five years.

So now I'm torn - do I care that my house is a cluttered mess, or do I recall that these relatives have seen worse from me (imagine my room when I was growing up - yep, it looked just like that) and do what I can, letting the rest go?

All in all, it's a good week for two of the junior messmakers to be in all-day camp!
