Yes, it's still mid-August, and today it's 90 degrees out. But I can still tell ... when I wake up, I have that fall sore throat, and the heat has a slightly different quality.
Now, I like fall, with its whole back-to-school thing, the colors, the return of jeans and long-sleeve shirts ... but not quite in the same way I love summer and the wall of heat that hits you when you walk outside the house.
But while it's going, it's not gone yet ... time to get in a few more rays of sunshine while they're hot!
