For some reason, I am finding winter oppressive this year. Not sure why, really. We had a nice, long, mild fall, although admittedly a short, wet, cool summer. And not much spring. So perhaps that's why - not enough sunshine and heat this year! (Even the time in Florida wasn't enough, given that it was too cold to be outside the first several days.)
While I know that March 21 doesn't necessarily correspond to spring-like weather, it's a tangible symbol of the end of snow and cold, and something to count down to. Because the warmth and the green of spring can't come soon enough for me this year!
